Twat Attack

Biased BBC's new era of civility has a tiny downside, if we may venture a dab of criticism. It does seem to have temporarily lowered the overall excitability of posters - with a few honourable exceptions - to a dull buzz.

But stepping into the breach is David Vance's blogging chum, Grumpy Old Twat, who provides a forthright analysis of BBC News's many failings:

In a desperate attempt to silence the well founded cries of female ageism,

I'll have whatever she's having…

the BBC are seeking to recruit a female news reader over the age of 50, for their 24 hour news channel.

Vera Lynn's on a roll just now...

Brown's Broadcasting Channel, funded by the licence fee payer and employing arrogant, self opinionated twats like this...

Me? That'll be news to the Wood Lane wages clerks. But thanks for the plug.

...would be better suited concentrating on providing unbiased reporting of World events on their news channel,

I think you'll find they're already trying to do that.

Presumably, with a General Election looming on the horizon, the British Broadcasting Corruption will continue to present Labour spin and propaganda ad infinitum in a vain attempt to see their masters re-elected, thus protecting their 'all important' tax payer funded income.

Do you think? That would be a foolhardy strategy, seeing as Cameron currently looks like a shoo-in.

In which case one can only assume that their ideal candidate for the position of news reader will be a female transgender lesbian, half moslem half black,

Because you can't be 100% Moslem and 100% black...

preferably disabled in some way, a weed smoking marxist during their University days, with five children by five different fathers and, ideally, about 54 years old.

You forgot to mention man-made global warming, but otherwise bang on. And completely original.

Perhaps you could help with recruitment? Your teasing fondness for foul-mouthed misogyny and sniggering jokes about Madeleine McCann's mother would add something really fragrant to the process.

  1. As I understand the situation, BBC executives Admit Themselves to being Left Wing. Therefore for someone to run a blog opposed to the Biased BBCs content, for simply pointing out these open discrepancies, would seem somewhat ridiculous to say the least. In fact, Socialist, humourless, and utterly banal.

You could well imagine "Hillhunting" such a person, and finding that they refer to themselves as "bellezbubb" at their own mailing address. - I mean, how moronic would that be?

    Hang on a minute..............

  2. I think you may be missing a little of the point there, Dazed. OTME isn't so much opposed to the way B-BBC 'point out' bias at the beeb as to the manner in which they go about it.

There's a debate to be had about whether the BBC has a bias, what that bias is and whether it is actually 'left-wing', whether bias is an inevitable by-product of a state-sponsored media, and whether privately-run media are actually free of or simply subject to other, potentially more insidious forms of bias. But B-BBC aren't really having that debate, and they potentially alienate a large proportion of people wanting to have that debate seriously when they engage in abuse and lazy stereotyping.

  3. Guido has been arguing recently that right-wing blogs are a better read than left wing blogs. And he has a good point. The political certainty and the coherence of their opinion make them more fun.
But these qualities also explain while those of the right are great at blogs and writen journalism but also bad at broadcasting.
So Mel Phillips, Peter Hitchins... a great read... but shrill and tedious on air. Guido too.
And in a roundabout way that's why the BBC is liberal (with a small l). Charged with impartiality it will attract people who can see both or more sides of every argument. That's great, that's what it's for. That will also repel right wingers who got to Sky or the Telegraph and also attract a disporportionate number of soft left wishy washy Liberals with a big L.

  4. The complicated new B-BBC comments system seems to have decimated their readership - most posts now attract a handful of comments at best. Of course, this may not be such a bad thing...

But the frothing loons must let out their energies somewhere, and the G.O.T. (T for Tourette's) seems to have provided a particularly pungent repository for them.

  7. "Therefore for someone to run a blog opposed to the Biased BBCs content",

if by "opposed" you mean "mercilessly ridicule"

"for simply pointing out these open discrepancies,"

er.. OMTE is pointing out largely that Lord Vance's posts are pretty fact-lite, and that when it comes to sorting out the BBC's supposed bias, a foul-mouthed bunch of keyboard kommanders are an especially inappropriate bunch to do it properly.

"would seem somewhat ridiculous to say the least. In fact, Socialist, humourless, and utterly banal"

Put your dictionary away: nobody's impressed. Then take your other hand out of your trousers. And then give yourself an uppercut for making no sense. OMTE is the one making the jokes. The screaming harpies in Lord Vance's beauty parade are about as funny as syphilis. Apart from Martin, who's hilarious.

  8. Anonymous;

Well there's a surprise an anonymous Socialist - Can't think why!

I pick up my terminology surfing around New Labour blogs, as I do like a laugh.

Mind you, I would never post as "Anon", because unlike your cowardly self, I'm quite happy to enter disagreements in an open fashion.

    A Foreign concept to you?

    Ho Hum..

  9. Well this blog is a waste of god damn time. why not spend your time thinking about why the Binladen Broadcasting Corp is brainwashing the british public to socialist, politicially correct, pro-islamic doctrine instead of all this 'irony' and 'humour' bullshit. You never debate ur points at BBC BIASED, all you do is smart arsed comments you child. if we dont stop the bbc spreading its pro caliphate propaganda we will all wake up in a sharia state and they wont let you have free speech will they? yeah i bet you can't answer back to that.

Amazing. It takes until Martin's third post for him to mention his favourite subject: the arsehole.

Ah. So that's why you post under a made-up name, and don't have your real name on your blogger profile?
