David Vance is the Renaissance man of modern media. Shooting down BBC bias here, appearing cheerfully on BBC Radio there, and shining his brilliant light on public events in lots of other forums.
With his trademark sensitivity, David's Irish blog today tackles the case of a Muslim community leader who has been charged with perverting the course of justice. Noor Ramjanally had previously claimed that he was kidnapped and threatened by unidentified white men.
If this allegation is true, and of course we await the full result of the investigation, what does it say about some Muslim "community leaders"? There are plenty around prepared to believe the worst of the BNP, but this sort of race hustling by Muslim "leaders" - if true- provides us with an insight into what the religion of peace gets up in an effort to create headlines.
A textbook use of Advanced Vance. One Muslim leader has been accused of something dodgy. So lots of them must already be at it. Try replacing Ramjanally's case with, ooh, Peter Sutcliffe's.
If this allegation is true, and of course we await the full result of the investigation, what does it say about some lorry drivers? There are plenty around prepared to believe the worst of prostitutes, but this sort of mass murder by lorry drivers - if true- provides us with an insight into what the road haulage industry gets up to when it listens to the voices in its head.
Indeed...
Another priceless entry in the on-going Vanceothon.
